Friday Faves (6.12.26)
❤️ Here's a list of stuff I've been enjoying lately... ⚡️
Looking for something awesome to read, watch, or play? I got you!
MOVIES
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie - Took both boys to see this one and we had a blast. So fun!
Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu - Connor and I went to see this one (he’s my fellow Star Wars fan), and we really enjoyed it. I saw someone online describe it as “a great Star Wars side quest”, and I think that’s a perfect description.
TV
Widow’s Bay - It’s funny and scary and heartwarming and funny. Wonderful cast (Stephen Root is an American treasure, Matthew Rhys kills it, and Kate O’Flynn—HELLO! So good!). And did I mention it’s scary? And also funny?
Smiling Friends - This is an adult animated show that is weird, sophomoric, irreverent, and borderline offensive—and I love every minute of it.
VIDEO GAMES
Mixtape - This game is really great. Beautiful animation and great story. Really chill. If you like story-heavy games like the Life is Strange series or Quantic Dream’s output, I think you’ll really dig Mixtape.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight - The LEGO games are awesome, and this might be one of the best (still hard to beat Marvel Superheroes 2, in my opinion). If you like LEGO games AND you’re a huge Batman fan, you’re gonna love this game.
Cities: Skylines (Switch Edition) - Ever since Sim City came out on the SNES, I have loved a good city-building game. And Cities: Skylines is the current king of this genre. I recently downloaded it to my Switch 2 so I could play it on the couch, and I’ve been addicted to it. Despite lacking a few features from the original release, it’s still a lot of fun to play.
BOOKS
The Last Devil to Die - This is the fourth book in the Thursday Murder Club series. I have absolutely adored these books, and this book specifically hit me in the feels harder than the previous three. And that’s saying a lot!
Enshittification - I’m about a third of the way through this one and it’s really fascinating. It’s also really frustrating. And also really scary. But I appreciate Cory Doctorow’s humor which helps lighten things a bit.
ETC.
• These F1 LEGO sets have been a blast to build.

Have you watched the "Thursday Murder Club" series on Netflix? I really enjoyed it.
I also have played fun stuff and seen cool movies too! My personal favorite movie Ive seen is the Mortal kombat movie, I also saw the super mario galaxy movie and the bad guys too. I honestly liked the mortal kombat movie out of them all because of the casting being perfect and it’s one of my favorite games to play with my dad. (he introduced it to me lol) we originally were supposed to see the movie on the Saturday right after it released but the car had other plans and broke down on the bridge… 💔 that was not fun, I also am nearly finished with my animated series’ trailer! Im about 45% done. Im super excited to release it after a year of planning and casting:) I also can’t wait to read the new book, Ive been waiting so long to get the new book :D
